Moots has just released a new titanium creation. The Baxter is a drop bar 29er designed for bikepacking adventures and ultra-endurance races, like the Tour Divide.
First off, what with the name? Baxter is the name of a beloved shop dog at Moots' headquarters in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
Baxter the bike is designed for loaded on and off-road adventures. It features drop-bar specific geometry and can accommodate suspension-corrected rigid forks as well as 100mm suspension forks. There are three water bottle mounts on the main triangle and clearance for 29x2.25in tires.
In addition to stock features, riders can choose from a number of custom options, including electronic internal routing, an engraved head tube, etched or polished logos, color decals, and rack or fender eyelets.
