Product Architects, Inc., the parent company behind the popular Polar insulated water bottles, has developed a hydration bladder that is affordable, durable and recyclable.

The Cenote reservoir gets its name from underground reservoirs formed by the collapse of limestone bedrock. The Cenote system is available in two-liter and three-liter reservoirs with hosing and bite valves. Prices are refreshingly affordable: $13.99 (£9) for the two-liter system and $14.99 (£9.50) for the three-liter system.

The Cenote bladders are constructed from food-grade plastics and are BPA- and Phthalate-free. The company claims the its bladders are as long-lasting as its competitors, but the low price of admission, along with the fact they are 100% recyclable, means you can fill them with whatever you like and don’t have to feel bad about replacing them when the time comes.

“With Cenote, you don’t have to feel guilty about being that dude ruining the environment because one weekend you were that dude who filled their bag with tequila instead of water. You don’t have to worry about being that chick, wasting money because once or twice you were that chick who used their bag for a protein shake then forgot it in the back of her car for a month. We seriously appreciate, and seriously often are, those dudes and chicks so here is a hydration system built for you,” reads Cenotes website.

The Cenote reservoir is made of easily recyclable plastics number two and four. Consumers who don’t have curbside recycling or easy access to a local recycling program can send the reservoirs back to the company for recycling. The Cenote reservoirs are shipped in packaging that fold into a returnable package and, best of all, even include free return shipping.
