Thomas Boudat sprinted to victory out of a select group on Saturday's third stage of the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali.
Boudat and several of his Direct Energie teammates drove the pace to split the peloton midway through the stage, and the Frenchman proved fastest to the line in Crevalcore after 171.4km of racing. Alan Banaszek (CCC Sprandi Polkowice) claimed second, narrowly missing out on the win by half a bike length, with William Clarke (Cannondale-Drapac) in third.
Finishing with the lead group, Toms Skujins (Cannondale-Drapac) maintained his spot atop the GC leaderboard for another day with one stage remaining, Sunday's 160km trek from Fiorano Modenese to Sassuolo.
