Orbea recently invited us to the Basque country to have a look at its updated Orca and Avant road bikes and as an extra tasty morsel for those that made the trip, revealed the new Terra gravel bike.
The name harks back to a 'cross bike of the same name that was last featured in Orbea's 2013 range. However, the new Terra bares little resemblance to its predecessor which was around at a time when cantis and generous toe overlap was still the norm.
With clearances for 40mm tyres, bolt thru-axles at both ends and flat mount disc brakes, the new Terra is a bang up to date, off road adventuring machine.

Perhaps most exciting of all is the inclusion of proper mudguard mounts, which is relatively rare on a carbon race machine.
