Aldi's stupidly cheap cycling gear available today

Each year, German supermarket chain Aldi sends UK cycling forums ablaze with threads raging about its bargain basement cycling kit. Now its latest kit has landed in stores nationwide  – including Garmin's Edge 810 GPS unit for only £179.99 and a new clothing range.

Garmin's Edge 810 cycle computer scored highly when BikeRadar reviewed it back in 2013 and it remains one of the more popular choices out there today. Head on over to the Garmin website and you'll find a retail price of £379.99, but those lucky enough to have an Aldi on their doorstep will be able to grab one for just £179.99 — that's if stocks aren't already depleted on this stonking store-only deal.

Aldi has also turned its attention towards a more premium 'Pro-Cycling' clothing line for roadies. For a penny under £30 there's a nylon jersey which features a glow in the dark print, reflective detailing and multiple pockets.

On top of that, literally if you like, Aldi will be selling an insulated winter cycling jacket, which uses thermal panels, a stand up collar plus similar glow in the dark print and reflective highlights as the jersey. To match, there's also a pair of bib tights with thermal fleece panels, a front zip and more glow in the dark print — priced at £29.99.

Remember to head down to your local store ASAP if you want to snap any of this little lot up.
