Summer may officially be over but that doesn’t mean it’s time to get out the mud tyres and put away any jerseys with the slightest hint of white just yet. The shortest day is a long time off, the trails are still dry-ish and there are plenty more good times to come!
This issue’s all about extending that summer vibe, so we’ve been checking out the sun, sea and singletrack in Punta Ala, Italy. Our guide James McKnight, showed us an incredible variety of flowing rocky trails which got pretty gnarly in places.
On the theme of making the most of the good (and bad) weather, Traharn Chidley shows us just how much you can cram into a few short months, in her ‘Supersize Summer’ diary.
Heading further north and making use of an unusually sunny day in Scotland, we explore The Highlands in search of a long-lost Lancaster bomber and find some amazing natural trails along the way.
