Giant's XC full-sus Anthem platform gets a major overhaul for 2017, with more travel, more carbon and bigger tyres. Meanwhile, there's a well-ventilated aero helmet to keep the roadies happy too, and the team talked us through its new releases while at Eurobike.
Giant's latest Anthem, the Anthem Advanced, is the seventh generation of the model and sees longer geometry with 100mm of rear wheel travel and a 120mm of front wheel travel. Built to handle longer and tougher XC terrain the bike also gets a longer top tube, a shorter stem and lower geometry overall. The bike also keeps on trend with the addition of a dropper post and comes fitted with 27.5 wheels.
2017 also brings Giant's new aero Pursuit helmet, launched this year at the Tour de France by the Giant Alpecin team. Particular attention has been paid to improving ventilation and the channeling of air, with large vets at the front, uncommon in aero helmets, and seven large vents at the back. To find out more about how the design affects the helmet's aerodynamics take a look at the video below.
