GoPro Karma drone is coming: here’s what we know so far

http://ift.tt/2cCpyCe

It looks like the wait is almost over for the release of the GoPro Karma drone. A new teaser video has been released, and we’re hearing that an official release could be happening this month (September 2016). But what features, specs, design and battery life will it have? And at what price? Let’s take a look at all the rumours we’ve seen so far for GoPro’s first flying action camera.

GoPro Karma release date and price

Yup, it could be just weeks away. We’ve heard from a number of sources that there’s an official GoPro event happening on 19 September, with many people expecting this to be the GoPro Karma release. Whether it also sees the debut of the long-awaited GoPro Hero 5 action camera remains to be seen, but it’s definitely a possibility.

An email was recently sent out to GoPro customers with a new teaser trailer (see above) for the Karma, along with the date 19/09/16. You don’t need to be Sherlock Holmes to get the hint.

There’s no indication yet on price for the GoPro Karma, but that certainly doesn’t stop the internet guessing. PC Advisor predicts that it may come without a camera — you simply clip in your existing GoPro. This could be a neat segue into the GoPro Hero 5 at the launch event on September 19th, and it would definitely bring the drone’s price down. Plus with so many GoPro cameras on the market already, it kinda makes sense.

GoPro Karma design

So what does this darn drone actually look like then? No official photos have been released, but there are two strong sources worth knowing about. Firstly, GoPro enthusiast Konrad Iturbe recently spotted that the brand’s Italian website may have accidentally given us a premature look at it.
