Component company e*thirteen is steadily branching out from chainguides into more component categories. New for 2017 is the addition of a dropper seatpost and a wide-range 11-speed cassette, designed to give SRAM’s 12-speed Eagle group a run for its money.
e*thirteen is venturing into the dropper seatpost game. The TRS+ dropper breaks from the trend towards seatposts with infinite travel within their range, by offering the user two intermediate positions between fully extended and dropped. The TRS+ seatpost can be dropped to 75mm, 110mm and all the way down to 150mm.

“We didn’t want our seatpost to get lost in the cloud of marginal reliability,” said a company spokesperson. To that end, the TRS+ dropper is fully mechanical with a coil negative spring.
It will be offered in 31.6 and 30.9mm diameters. The TRT+ dropper will retail for US$279 and be available in December.
