BikeRadar was sure to drop by the Elite booth at this year’s Eurobike show. Once there, Peter from Elite took us through two of the company’s most exciting products for 2017, the Drivo and Quick-Motion cycle trainers.

First up is the Elite Drivo, a direct drive trainer that — thanks to ANT+ or Bluetooth integration — can work with either Elite’s own software or app, or from third party applications such as Zwift. Power accuracy is claimed to be an impressive +/- 1%. Similarly impressive is the trainer’s ability to simulate gradients of up to 24%, which Elite says makes it the most powerful device of its kind.

Next up is the Elite Quick-Motion roller, which essentially is an improvement of Elite’s previous E-motion roller. It’s a floating system that’s said to offer a more realistic feel than regular, static rollers. It also allows a rider to get out of the saddle easily to simulate hill climbs or sprinting. An additional sensor can be purchased that enables the Quick-Motion to work with third party software and become a smart roller. The Quick-Motion also folds away when not in use.
