Western Australian National Road Series (NRS) team Satalyst Verve have confirmed the addition of Mitchell Mulhern to complete its roster for 2016. Known as Navitas Satalyst in 2015, the team finished the NRS in sixth place but with a change in naming rights sponsor and team management, the squad is looking for improvement and development of its younger riders. Verve, manufacturer of InfoCrank, replaces Navitas as a title sponsor for 2016.

Mulhern, who rode for BudgetForklifts this season, is aiming to make the Australian team pursuit squad at the Rio Olympics and explained the team will provide him the opportunity to pursue his gold medal aspirations.

"I am very excited to be a part of Satalyst Verve for 2016 as they are very supportive of my track commitments and are committed to giving me the best opportunity for my run in towards the Rio Olympics," said 2014 team pursuit world champion Mulhern. "I am looking forward to assisting the team in achieving next season's goals of improving the team's NRS standing as well as assisting the development of younger riders within the team."

The team have also signed Matt Clark from the Avanti team, adding climbing power to the squad, and 31-year-old Chris Winn who adds his experience of American racing to the young squad along with his coaching qualifications.

"After six seasons spent racing predominantly in the US, I'm very much looking forward to a new challenge basing myself in Australia and competing in the NRS. The opportunity to do this with a well established outfit such as Satalyst Verve Racing Team is something I couldn't pass up," Winn said of joining the team.

Theo Yates, who won a stage of the 2.1 Tour of Iran this year, remains with the team and will be a key rider for Satalyst Verve across the 2016 season.
