Lizzie Armitstead was presented with her brand-new custom Specialized S-Works Amira at an award ceremony in London last week, which comes adorned with the rainbow stripes of a world champ.
She rode to victory in thrilling style in Richmond, Virginia, in September, securing her place in history as the fourth British woman ever to hold the title of World Road Race Champion.

After a breakaway group seemed to put the Yorkshire woman out of contention in the penultimate lap of the 2015 UCI World Road Race Championships, the peloton managed to reel them in, allowing Armitstead to launch a series of attacks ending in a sprint finish over the line just half a bike's length in front of Dutchwoman Anna van der Breggen.
Having now won Commonwealth, National and World Champion titles, Armitstead's sights are firmly fixed on the Rio Olympics next year.
At the award ceremony in London, the Boels-Dolmans rider was presented with her brand new custom S-Works Amira in front of that photograph of her crossing the line, hand over mouth.
