Pactimo expands reflective line, refines aero cuts

For spring 2015, Colorado-based clothing company Pactimo has expanded its RFLX reflective line into warm-weather pieces, and stepped up its game with some of the higher-end jerseys while still keeping pricing reasonable.

The new Summit Speed RFLX jersey (US$115 / Â£80) uses five fabrics including Lycra over the shoulders and front panels for a skinsuit-like feel. As is the race style these days, the Summit went with longer-length set-in sleeves and a low collar. Pactimo has both men's and women's pieces.

The most noticeable component – at least when hit by car headlights – is the RFLX sleeve banding, which pops with reflectivity. Under daylight, however, the design looks normal.

Car headlights — or, here, a camera's flash — illuminate the RFLX panels on the Summit jersey and bib shorts

The new Summit Raptor RFLX bib shorts (US$175 / Â£130) use Flash ColdBlack in the Schoeller–Eschler body fabric to deflect heat and RFLX leg bands to reflect headlights. The chamois is by CyTech, the Italian powerhouse factory that makes bib padding for brands around the world.
