WTB has just launched an all-new aggressive mountain bike tyre in the form of the Convict.

Wet or dry and from sand to loam, the 2.5in Convict claims to be the most robust option to have ever come from the company, and aims to satisfy enduro riders, bike park fans or anyone who wants to make the most of the descents.

The Convict is available in three flavours: the first is a lightweight 1042g version that pairs a lighter carcass with the company’s grippiest Gravity DNA rubber – that means a tacky 45a durometer tread with a supportive 60a underlayer.

Two tough casing versions will also be sold. These have a choice of that same grippy Gravity DNA rubber or a more durable Dual DNA option and come in at a claimed 1239g and 1253g, respectively.

Prices range from £44.95 for the lightweight Convict to £49.99 for the other versions. US folk should be able to get their hands on these right away while those in the UK will have to wait ‘til late summer.
