On the heels of Force 1 and Rival 1, SRAM has launched Apex 1 in drop-bar and flat-bar configurations, offering a 1x drivetrain at an affordable level. Notably pointing where SRAM is headed in the future, the integrated shifters only come in a hydraulic-brake format. The partial group consists of levers, rear derailleur, crank and wide-range cassette. There is also a flat-bar shifting option.
As with its higher-end siblings, Apex 1 has a clutch derailleur that holds the chain taut. It works with 10- and 11-speed SRAM shifters and chains. The 314g Apex 1 derailleur weighs a claimed 314g and will begin selling in June for $74 / €76 / £58.
The SRAM S350-1 crank uses SRAM's X-SYNC tooth profile and comes in 38, 40, 42 and 44t ring options in three crank lengths for GXP and BB30 systems. It weighs a claimed 762g and will sell for (GXP) $116 / €120 / £92 and (BB30) $151 / €156 / £120.

The Hydro R Apex 1 integrated levers use DOT 5.1 brake fluid and the calipers convert between 140mm and 160mm rotors with adaptors. The two-piston caliper will be available in 74mm and Flat Mount versions, both using a forged aluminum disc caliper with steel- backed organic pads and steel hardware.
Claimed weigh is 344g for the left lever, hose and caliper and 360g for the right shifter, hose and caliper. Prices will be $199 / €233 / £179 for the left brake lever, hose and caliper and $249 / €293 / £226 for the right-hand setup.
