With disc brakes now approved for use by the UCI, it was only a matter of time before disc-equiped bikes worthy of the pro peloton made an appearance. The new Cervélo R3 Disc has been designed from the ground up to take advantage of this rule change, with a raft of features employed to optimise the opportunity disc brakes present.

A race bike first and foremost, other features include significantly increased bottom bracket stiffness and compatability with virtually any disc brake available on the market at the moment. Cervélo introduced BikeRadar to the R3 at Eurobike 2015.
