Many cyclists like to share their bike-based exploits via photography, and Instagram is one of the fastest growing tools for doing just that.

Beyond the selfies, sunsets and over-use of hashtags, there’s a wealth of spectacular images showcasing the glamorous lives of people involved in the sport.

If you’re a road cycling fan, here are five feeds you need to follow:

Whether the idea of traveling around the world shooting the pro-peloton appeals to you or not, it’s the life that Dutch photographer, Tim de Waele lives. His feed is an online documentary of what happens behind the scenes at race events, and offers an insight that only a chosen few get to see. If you’ve had enough of square pictures, check out the rest of his work at TDWsport.com.

There are many pro cyclists on Instagram, but one definitely worth following is Chris Froome.Life aboard the Team Sky bus, exotic locations and the odd selfie; Froome’s account is inspirational on the whole, but at times it gets a little… ‘interesting’.

Turns out Froome-dog is actually a ‘cat-person’ and his feline friend often appears with him for that authentic Bond villain look – when you’re done, check out the fluffy, white FroomeCat on very his own account… @froomecat.
