Team Sky’s Chris Froome, Geraint Thomas, and Ian Stannard share their tips on riding (and winning) the Tour as they train these youngsters to make it to the Grand Tours.
Introducing Mini Team Sky
After the race the youngsters asked their idol trainers some very interesting (and funny) questions about their team conversations, whether they fart along the Tour and who their favourite girls are.
During the Tour Team Sky taught the aspiring cyclists what it takes to win the Tour:
1. Hydration
Staying hydrated can be the difference between winning and losing the Tour, so learning to grab a water bottle from a moving car is a key skill for any TdF cyclist to have.
Aerodynamics
If you saw how windy it can be at Mt. Ventoux then you’d know that mastering to ride up high winds forms a key part riders’ training.
Culture
When in France, get to know the French culture!
