Home rider Magnus Cort Nielsen (Postnord Danmark) took out a close sprint victory on stage 2 of the Tour of Denmark, coming from behind with great speed to overhaul Moreno Hofland (LottoNl-Jumbo) and Daniele Bennati (Tinkoff).
Bennati extended his race lead over stage 1 breakaway companion Mads Würtz Schmidt (Virtu Pro-Veloconcept) to 15 seconds, with Hofland remaining third overall.
