Russia's Sergey Firsanov (Gazprom-Rusvelo) won the overall title at Coppi and Bartali upon it's conclusion at stage 4 on Sunday in Pavullo. He went into the final stage as the overall leader and sealed the title by three seconds ahead of Mauro Finetto (Unieuro Wilier) and 19 seconds ahead of Gianni Moscon (Team Sky).
Stefano Pirazzi (Bardiani CSF) was victorious on the final stage, winning the race solo. Clemens Fankhauser (Tirol Cycling Team) came in for second place, 16 seconds later, and Mauro Finetto (Unieuro Wilier) was third on the day.
The last stage was a 163.3km race from Pavullo and back to Pavullo. A four-man breakaway set off 50km into the stage that included Grega Bole (Nippo Vini Fantini), Marco Tizza (D'Amico Bottecchia), Ivan Balykin ( GM Europe Sheep) and Oleksandr Polivoda (Kolss BDC Team), and they stayed out front for nearly 100km.
During the last portion of the race, Mikel Landa (Team Sky) and his teammate David Lopez, along with Stefano Pirazzi (Bardiani CSF) and Rodolfo Torres (Androni Giocattoli - Sidermec) ignited the stage on the climb over Gaiato. Following the climb, and with only nine kilometres to the finish, Pirazzi was alone out front and rode across the finish line with the stage victory.
