One upon a time finding performance-oriented women's cycling kit was a mission that involved hours of trawling online, usually resulting in disappointment. Now, more and more brands are figuring out that women need and want kit that works to the highest levels, incorporating technical fabrics and features.
The new range from Scottish brand Endura has a good claim to delivering kit with a genuine focus on performance. The firm has just released fresh road and MTB collections, designed and developed in collaboration with a pool of female pro riders, everyday enthusiasts and Endura employees.
Endura claims to be demonstrating its "commitment to kitting out the hardcore female rider by increasing both the women's road cycling performance range and the women's MTB range.
"The input and feedback of the female testers plays a crucial role in the development of the women's range," according to Endura.
The women's road cycling range includes the FS260-Pro Jetstream short sleeve jersey (UK£67.99 / US$109.99 / AUS$N/A) , which provides wind protection. The FS260-Pro Bibknickers (UK£84.99 / US$159.99 / AUS$N/A) meanwhile incorporate the now increasingly common drop seat that makes comfort breaks much easier. The range is completed by the FS260-Pro Adrenaline Race Cape (UK£64.99 / US$104.99 / AUS$N/A) for added protection against the elements in a light and packable form.
