Louis Garneau P-09 aero helmet - in brief review

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J

For the P-09 its new top aero helmet, LG kept the dimples from the older Vorttice but dropped the air trips. The P-09 did not perform well in the tunnel, with low scores in each position.

  • Pros: Light, decent ventilation

  • Cons: Not fast, bad visor attachment

Out on the road, the ventilation (once the plug is removed) and dial-adjusted fit are okay but the visor isn't great. It wouldn't click into place properly, fell out once and scratched easily. And with a low position the visor clip is right in your eyeline.

The P-09 is light, though, and the sprung ear flaps mean it's easy to get on. Still, for us it isn't a go-to option, especially at this price.
