Pro's Vulture saddle may not be everyone’s cup of tea looks wise, but it delivers on the trail, which is what’s important.
The reasonably deep padding and carbon-reinforced base offer the sort of comfort that’ll keep you waddle free after a long day on the trails. We particularly like the softer nose, which gives a bit of relief when you find yourself clawing your way up a really steep climb, perched as far forward on the saddle as possible.
The relatively compact shape – the Vulture is just over 15mm shorter than Specialized’s Henge saddle, for example – means it doesn’t get in the way when you’re throwing the bike around, but we were never left thinking we needed a bigger perch to move around on when seated.
The only real niggle we have with the Vulture is that the two points at the rear can snag really baggy shorts if you’re not careful. Rounding them off might help to prevent this happening.
