Fans of Troy Lee Designs kit can now feast their eyes upon the spring 2016 helmet collection from the brand. A fresh palette injects a new lease of life into the A1 trail lid and D2/D3 full face helmets while Troy Lee's range-topping D3 also sees numerous technical revisions.
A1
The A1 proved a huge success when it was introduced three years back and for many its half-shell design remains the benchmark in comfort and style. The lid is now offered in nine finishes ranging from the more subdued colours to the lairy apex schemes. D3
Troy Lee's top-drawer downhill lid has had more than a lick of paint for 2016. The fit has been altered to beer suit more riders, that's thanks to feedback from customers as well as the company's factory riders. Similarly, a new cheekpad has been introduced for a better, more secure fit. Additional EPS material has also been added to key frontal impact zones to further improve safety. Aesthetically, a new smoothed edge trim is used on the face moulding area, that along with nine new colour schemes across the D3 composite and carbon range. Pricing is US$375 for composite shell versions or US$449 for carbon shell models, UK pricing is TBC.
