Morgaw's Forsage saddle is built around a reinforced nylon base with moulded ribbing on the underside for stiffness. It’s padded with EVA foam, wrapped in the usual microfibre outer.
Morgaw’s unique selling point is a clever built-in shock absorber design, which places removable elastomers between the rails and the saddle, adding an element of flex. The saddle is available with elastomers that range from ‘hard’ to ‘soft’, with heavier riders instructed to choose the hard elastomer.
The modular system means you can swap individual rails, with pricier carbon as well as alloy options available. Morgaw also sells bolt kits in a range of colours so you can match them to your bike.

With carbon rails, our test saddle weighed 200g. The alloy option added just 16g. The Forsage measures a standard 132mm across and is 280mm long.
On the road, Morgaw’s funky design doesn’t offer a night-and-day upgrade, but we found it comparable to switching from a cheap alloy seatpost to a decent carbon one, with the sting being taken out of bumps.
The ultra-flat profile won’t suit everyone, though, and we’d have also liked rounder edges to the saddle. We’d like to see Morgaw figure out how to combine the concept with a decent cutout and a more extensive range of shapes.
