SRAM has just announced that they are stopping sales of its new RED22 and S700 Hydro Road brakes shipped to OE and aftermarket customers after September 5 2013. Exact details for the recall are currently unknown.

This applies to all Red 22 and S700 Hydro Road Rim and Disc brake systems with serial numbers between 36T30000000 and 42T39999999. The serial number can be found on the brake caliper (rim or disc) and on the outside of the box containing the product.

SRAM say that no previously made product is affected by this issue.

If you’re affected by this, it’s recommended that you stop using the product and contact your original place of purchase for replacement.

Stay tuned for further details.
