Scott Trail MTN 10 jacket – in brief review

Scott's Trail has the feel of an all-purpose active jacket that’s good on the bike – which isn’t a criticism, more a take on its versatility.

There’s room to add extra layers when you’re not riding, but it doesn’t feel baggy when you’re down to a baselayer and a jersey. That’s probably down to the decent amount of adjustment – with a cinchable hood, drawcord hem and long cuff tabs you can tweak the fit to suit.

The three-layer fabric uses a Gore-Tex Active membrane and has a durable feel. The jacket is highly breathable even on warmer days, and should you need to increase airflow, the long front pockets are lined with mesh so they can act as vents too. Worried about the contents falling out? Don’t be – the right-hand one has a cunning pocket-within-a-pocket construction.
