The DND (Down and Dirty) gloves from Giro use a cuffless, slip-on design that allows unrestricted movement at the wrist, helping to make these some of the comfiest gloves we’ve tried. The fit and shaping is spot on too, with the stretchy mesh upper hugging the back of the hand closely and the articulated cutouts on the thumb, index and middle finger helping to keep movement free and bunching minimal.
Though the upper material is stretchy and thin enough to allow heat to escape, it’s tough enough to handle bramble snags and the like without ripping or fraying. The thin palm is well reinforced in all the high-wear areas without feeling bulky and gives plenty of feel and feedback from the grips. Other nice touches like the wraparound reinforced tips on the index and middle fingers, the toughened leather pull-on tab at the wrist opening and the snot wipe down the thumb mean the DNDs are well worth the cash.
