Looking for a cheap BMX bike? Don't want to spend more than £200? Read on, because BikeRadar has put together this article to show you what's out there.
The BMX bike, or 'bicycle motocross' to give it its full name, is a sport bike generally used for racing or stunts. However, a lot of riders, especially younger ones, like to use them for traveling around town or commuting on too.
If you're considering buying such a bike you may wish to read our BMX bike guide first. If you're not sure yet whether a BMX is the right bike for you, check out what type of bike do I need?
The bikes here are based on what's being sold by the major retailers, and are ranked by the average customer review scores as per the retailer's site (correct as per the time of publishing). We've not reviewed any of the bikes ourselves yet, but we will be doing so in the near future. We'll also be adding more bikes to this list soon.
If you're serious about riding then you might want to consider spending a bit more than £200 on your BMX, with the likes of Decathlon, WinstanleysBMX and Evans offering more expensive, more quality rides. Generally, as with most things, the more you pay the more quality you get, but we've also included budget bikes here for those who can't afford or don't wish to spend more than £100 on a bike. These models offer a cheap entry-level bike, perhaps more suited for younger riders.
We've picked out the key specs that you need to know such as sizes, weight and components and included the price (all of which are correct at the time of publishing).
