German power meter manufacturer Power2Max has announced a €150 / US$150 reduction in the price of its Classic range of power meters, which are being discontinued in favour of the second generation Type S series.
While stocks last, power-curious cyclists can pick up a Power2Max classic from €590 / US$729 – full models and pricing below – complete with a two-year transferable warranty.
Power2Max’s head of marketing and sales, Nicolas Theopold, said: “The decision to stop making the Classic line has been a difficult one. Our customers love its reliability and the ease of use. However, we need to focus on Type S to meet demand.
“We are excited to get even more people to ride with power. At €590 / US$729 getting a full featured power meter has never been more affordable. Gone are the days power meters were reserved for professionals and only few amateurs. Whether you are training for your first cyclosportive or want to pace better during a triathlon, its now a viable option.”
