Vulpine Summer '14 line
We've long been fans of the functional, stylish clothing coming out of British outfit Vulpine. The company works with high quality materials and focuses on wearability both on and off the bike. Here's a selection of our favorite pieces from the company's Summer '14 lineup — a collection of casual, well-designed, and practical gear for those rides where spandex seems a bit excessive.
First up, the Men's Short Sleeve Merino Polo. Cut from pure Merino wool and available in a variety of colors. Reflective rear pocket trim for visibility and cut slightly longer in the rear to prevent the dreaded plumber's crack.Vulpine Summer '14 line

Vulpine's women's line is extensive, with just as many pieces as the men's side. The company sponsors a professional women's race team in the UK as well, Matrix Fitness-Vulpine. New for this summer are the Classic Dri-Release (£40) t-shirt, a slim-cut shirt with slightly longer back for riding, and Women's Summer Shorts (£65).

The Women's Summer Short is available in the vibrant Cobalt Blue of the previous photo as well as a more mellow Sand color and a dark Navy blue.

Men get a Summer Short as well, also for £65, tailored slightly longer than the company's popular Cotton Rain Shorts. It features a diamond gusset design to improve comfort in the saddle.

The men's Dri-Release (£40) t-shirt uses the same wicking fabric as the women's version.

Merino V-neck and crew neck shirts, both pricey at £60, have been added to the summer lineup.

Men's and women's Summer Trousers (£80) have an excellent cut and use a thinner material for the hot summer months. The button adjuster on the right cuff is a great touch as well.

The Short Merino City Socks use a great British herringbone pattern and are panneled for improved comfort without that "tech" look.
