Evil has just pulled the covers of its latest model, an enduro rig called the Insurgent. This new model takes design cues from the 26in Uprising and 29in Following and blends them into an incredibly low and slack 27.5in mountain bike.

Insurgent highlights

  • 151mm of rear suspension travel
  • Designed around 160mm suspension forks
  • Adjustable geometry
  • Full carbon frame
  • Pricing for the frame with shock is $2,799 / €3,299 (UK and Australian pricing TBA)

The Insurgent uses a combination of internal and external cable routing

The Insurgent features 151mm of suspension travel and is designed to be paired with 160mm suspension forks. The full carbon frame uses a combination of internal and external cable routing. For now at least, the Insurgent sticks with the 142x12mm rear axle standard, rather than the wider 148mm option that is gaining traction.

Evil founder Kevin Walsh likes his bikes low and slack. Since the beginning, his company has pushed trail bike geometry well into the realm of gravity bikes.
