The 'Greatest show on Earth' is nearly here, with the 2016 edition of the Tour de France due to set off from Normandy Saturday. We've got reporters there right now at Mont-St-Michel, and they'll be delivering regular updates. So what can we expect from the 103rd edition of the world's biggest bike race?

The race will start around 12:20pm local time (11:20am UK time; 6:20am EST) on Saturday 2 July, when 198 riders will strike out from Mont-St-Michel for Le Grand Départ. It will finish three weeks later on Sunday 24 July in Paris, with the yellow jersey wearer leading them in to the French capital.

As in previous years, UK viewers can watch the Tour de France live on Eurosport (£) and ITV (free), with highlights available each evening. Don't worry if you're away from a TV though, because both broadcasters will also deliver online video streams of the whole thing.

In the USA, broadcaster NBC has sole rights to the Tour, which it airs live on NBC Sports Network. Away from the TV, it will also deliver live coverage via its website for $30, as part of its Gold package.
