Fabric has announced a new water bottle that can be mounted on a frame without a water bottle cage. The Fabric Water Bottle slides onto bolts that screw in to a frame's water bottle bosses.
As they are just bolts, the mounts weigh 3g, which Fabric points out to be lighter than any water bottle cage on the market.
Fabric also claims the system to be more secure than a bottle cage.

The design is somewhat reminiscent of the Vincero Design magnetic water bottle.
Beginning with 600ml and then 750ml bottles, Fabric has hinted that it could also create a variety of other shapes than the standard cylinder.
