Castelli Volata jersey - in brief review

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J

The Castelli Volata is one of the lightest jerseys we've tested in some time. It tips the scales at a barely-there 122g, which makes it perfect for racing.

  • Highs: Amazingly light and airy

  • Lows: A little draughty on cooler days

That light weight might not sound like much of a big deal, but lots of people go to great lengths to trim weight from a seatpost or stem – often at great cost – so why not their clothes too?

The fabric is super thin, and the close fit means there’s not much of it either – you barely notice you're wearing it once you put it on. It's comfortable even very hot temperatures, which is helped by full mesh panels at the sides.

Despite the low weight, it still has an easy-to-grasp zip pull and a zippered pocket at the back.
