SAINT-REMY-DE-PROVENCE, France (AFP) — John Degenkolb (Giant-Shimano) won his third consecutive stage of the Tour Méditerranéen on Saturday.
Stage 3, the first of two stages on the day, covered 61.5km between Lambesc and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
Thor Hushovd (BMC Racing) and Italian Sonny Colbrelli (Bardiani) finished second and third, respectively. Degenkolb retains the overall lead.
Saturday afternoon’s fourth stage is an individual time trial on an 18km loop around Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, via the Col des Baux-de-Provence.
